One day of the auction to go

Posted March 28, 2010 by dr_mcgoo

Hey everybody,

As those of you who made it to the 100th day party know, comedian Isy Suttie took on the project of adding a small drawing about her day to a big canvas, which she then used as a prop in her really funny set.

That canvas is now being auctioned on eBay to raise money for Young Minds, a charity providing support for children and young people suffering with mental health issues. The bidding closes at 6pm tomorrow, and a link is provided below:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/100-Days-Artwork-by-Isy-Suttie_W0QQitemZ230451522895QQcmdZViewItemQQimsxq20100322?IMSfp=TL100322175002r2832#ht_500wt_1182

Bidding is currently at a very reasonable price, so get your hands in the air like they do in Sotheby’s to raise some money for a good cause.

Day One Hundred…

Posted March 11, 2010 by Lesley Thomas Perdu

Enthused, inspired and entertained by this evenings 100 days event, we just wanted to say well done everybody.

Reading tweets and messages it really seems like it’s had a profoundly lovely effect on lots of people. Way beyond our expectation.

To everyone who made it along to the show, thankyou so much for making it a brilliant event, we were blown away by the quality and inventiveness of all the artifacts that you brought to the musuem. Thanks to Sara Pascoe for a truly touching set, Isy Suttie for her lol song and fantastic picture stories, The Pictish Trail for the best 30-second-song set ever performed by any musician ever; and Adem for being such a thoroughly nice bloke and playing lots of great music.

To everyone else, thankyou so much for making the project what it was, and for keeping us entertained and marvelling at your stuff, too. We hope it’s made you somehow better, wiser, weirder, stronger, happier.

Do let us know if it has, how you found the project. What you plan to do next or whatever. josie@hundreddays.net. Keep in touch, basically.

And stay tuned. We will be auctioning Isy Sutties artwork for charity soon, we’ll let you know about that.

We are working on getting pictures, film and more from the 100th day event up here

And we will also are working on how to make the project live on, in some form or another. We have a few ideas floating around, we’ll be back soon with news of that, too.

Now, day 101….

Day Ninety Nine

Posted March 9, 2010 by dr_mcgoo

One day to go until the big party and we’re blowing up 99 red balloons, putting 99 bottles of beer backstage, dealing with 99 problems and putting 999 on our speed-dial just incase anything really major goes wrong. But don’t worry, it’ll be amazing!

Drentsoft provides our first image of the day, a loving portrait simply captioned as ‘Fat guy!’

99-1

Chrissy Williams gives us another most excellent word, if only it had come in time for our hat-wearing social on Day 79

dalmahoy n a bushy bob-wig worn in the 18c. [Said to be named from a wearer.] Chambers, 1998

Jen B is very disappointed in her supermarket sushi, derided as ‘Sushi for people who don’t know what sushi tastes like.’

99-2

We know what sushi tastes like, and we know how to throw a party like an S Club party. See you tomorrow!
